ACCESS STATEMENT

Introduction

We want every guest to enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This Access Statement is designed to help prospective guests understand the accessibility of our accommodation before booking.

As many of our properties are historic buildings, there are physical limitations that prevent full accessibility adaptations. We encourage all guests with specific access requirements to contact us before booking so we can discuss your individual needs and help determine whether a property is suitable.

Whilst we make every reasonable effort to accommodate guests with additional needs, our properties are not specifically adapted for wheelchair users and do not contain accessible bathrooms, wet rooms, hoists, grab rails or other specialist mobility equipment.

ONE DRAKE ROAD BED & BREAKFAST

Drake Road, Tavistock

Arrival and Access

  • Grade II listed Georgian townhouse.

  • Located approximately 60 metres from Bedford Square.

  • No private parking.

  • Nearby public car parks and on-street parking available.

  • Main entrance accessed via a small number of external steps.

  • No lift available.

Guest Accommodation

  • Six guest bedrooms.

  • All guest bedrooms are located on the first and second floors.

  • Access to all bedrooms is via a staircase.

  • Bedrooms and bathrooms are not adapted for wheelchair users.

  • Bathrooms do not have grab rails or support rails.

Public Areas

  • Ground floor drawing room and breakfast room.

  • Access via internal steps and staircases.

  • Garden accessed via external steps.

RUSSELL HOUSE APARTMENT NO. 2

First Floor Apartment

Arrival and Access

  • Located within a traditional town centre building.

  • No lift available.

  • Access via a communal entrance hallway.

Apartment Access

  • Apartment located entirely on the first floor.

  • Accessed via one internal staircase from the ground floor.

  • Accommodation arranged over a single level once inside.

Facilities

  • Standard bathroom facilities.

  • No grab rails or adapted bathing facilities.

  • Not suitable for wheelchair access.

RUSSELL HOUSE APARTMENT NO. 4

PADDONS LODGE

  • Located in Tavistock town centre.

  • No lift available.

  • Accessed directly from street level.

Apartment Layout

  • Split-level accommodation arranged over multiple floors.

  • Internal staircase connects living and sleeping areas.

  • Bedrooms and bathroom located on upper levels.

Facilities

  • Standard bathroom facilities.

  • No grab rails or adapted bathing facilities.

  • Not suitable for wheelchair access.

  • Guests should be comfortable using stairs.

FOURTEEN PROVIDENCE PLACE COTTAGE

Calstock, Cornwall

Arrival and Access

  • Traditional Cornish cottage located within the village of Calstock.

  • Accessed via village streets and pathways.

  • Limited nearby parking.

Cottage Layout

  • Accommodation arranged over multiple floors.

  • Internal staircases connect all levels.

  • Bedrooms located on upper floors.

  • Bathroom facilities require use of stairs.

Outside Areas

  • Garden and decking area accessed via steps.

  • Some external surfaces may be uneven due to the age and character of the property.

Facilities

  • Standard bathroom facilities.

  • No grab rails or adapted bathing facilities.

  • Not suitable for wheelchair access.

  • Guests should be comfortable using stairs.

Additional Information

  • Assistance dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

  • We are happy to store medication requiring refrigeration.

  • Large print information can be provided electronically upon request.

  • Mobile phone reception and Wi-Fi are available throughout most areas of our properties.

  • Emergency contact details are provided within each property.
