Regenerative Tourism at One Drake Road
Leave it better than you found it – that’s our way.

At One Drake Road, we believe in travel that gives back – to the land, the people, and the place. That’s why we’re proud to embrace the principles of regenerative tourism. For us, it’s not just about minimising our footprint – it’s about actively creating a positive impact for our community, our environment, and future generations of travellers.

We support local – from the Devon-made breakfast ingredients and organic toiletries we provide, to the brilliant independent makers, artists, and shops we recommend to our guests. We restore and reuse wherever we can – this beautiful 18th-century townhouse is a living example, lovingly renovated using traditional methods and materials to preserve its heritage.

We’re mindful of resources. From energy-saving lighting to thoughtful water usage and eco-conscious cleaning, we’re always looking for ways to tread more lightly. But regeneration goes beyond that – it’s about connection, too. So we champion slow travel, deeper experiences, and those magical moments that come when you take the time to know a place properly.

Every guest who stays with us becomes part of something bigger – a shared story of respect, responsibility, and renewal. Together, we can protect what makes Tavistock special, so it stays that way for generations to come.
