We have created a small boutique hotel with off-site apartments that stand the test of time
and reflects our character.
Our designs have influences of our eclectic style with a sense of purpose and energy with high quality bedding, in-room tea & coffee facilities and Neal's Yard organic toiletries.
Established as an Inn in 1752, the house is now an award winning hotel providing a welcoming home with a drawing room and six well appointed guest bedrooms.
We are located two minutes walk away from the town hall square, in the centre of Tavistock and we are walking distance away from The Cornish Arms, Taylors, Church Lane, The Annex, all highly recommended restaurants.
We also now offer three short or long stay apartments in Tavistock
and a cosy Cornish cottage in Calstock.

Wifi & Technology
We have free digital wifi throughout the house, a lap top, printer and an iPad at your disposal.
We do not have a car park, however, there are eight on-street parking bays outside the house. There is also unrestricted street parking around the house. There are also several council run car parks situated less than a five minute walk from the house.
During this socially distanced season, we will not be offering daily housekeeping during your stay but extra towels, tea and coffee etc are available on request.

Check in is from 4pm.
Check out by 10am.
Early check-in and late check-out
are available at £20 each.
All major credit/debit cards accepted but cash is always preferred. Cancellation policy listed below. No shows will be charged
the full amount.
Tea & Coffee making facilities in all rooms. Hair dryers are provided. An iron and ironing board available. Plates, cutlery and glasses on request.
Laundry service available.
Bicycles can be stored and secured in our courtyard or in our garage adjacent to the house.
Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for items left on our property.
We charge a minimum of £10 to package and return items via recorded delivery.
Arriving at One Drake Road
B&B guests please use the 'dark blue' front door' located at the side of the house on Drake Road. Apartment guests please use the entrance via the green stairs leading into the courtyard.
The hotel is situated within an old Georgian town house over 3 floors. There are staircases that do not connect and no lift. The main entrance is accessed
via three steps.
Children and Dogs
We love having little people over the age of ten around the house.
No dogs in B&B.
By prior arrangement in self catering apartments at £20 per stay.
Number Two & Four Russell House, Paddons, Fourteen Providence are off-site. One Drake Road apartment is located at the main house.

Number Two Russell House is a unique first floor studio apartment.
The bespoke design of the apartment is inspired in the Arts and Crafts style and the ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ wallpaper of Oxburgh Hall and the strong toned copper pigment of the Book Room at Broughton Hall.

This is not a B&B, it is their home and you are made to feel like friends and house guests.
The fact that the whole place is straight out of
an upmarket beautiful homes magazine is just magic. Every room is different, with marvellously idiosyncratic touches... sometimes at the expense of practicality...but who cares, when you're marvelling at the craft and revelling
in the fun of it all.
The location is just perfect....
right in the very centre of Tavistock.
We were on motorbikes which,
thanks to Iain, we're easy to house.
Altogether a memorable stay
and I'll certainly be back.
